"First Light" image obtained with the SINFONI AO Module and a high-angular-resolution near-infrared Test Camera during the night of May 31 - June 1, 2004. The magnitude of the observed star is 11 and the seeing conditions median. The diffraction limit at wavelength 2.2 µm of the 8.2-m telescope (FWHM 0.06 arcsec) was reached and is indicated by the bar.
