This image shows P/1997 T3 on October 6, 1997 at 05:13:54 UT. This image of the new object (slightly above and to the left of the centre of the field) was obtained with the 0.6-m Bochum telescope at La Silla; the observer was Andreas Nathues. The tail is faintly visible to the lower left of the point-like object (in the 7 o'clock direction).
