This three panel image shows a composite of RCW 120 with data from Herschel Space Observatory and Spitzer Space Telescope. In the composite image red and yellow show cool dust, seen by Herschel. Bluer colours show warmer dust detected by Spitzer, as well as stars which are either in front of or behind the ring. The insets show the individual images from the two satellites.
